Design Ethos

This site intentionally leans into Y2K/Win98 aesthetics: dense information, visible chrome, and playful chaos over minimalism.

Engineering Ethos

Keep it simple, hand-built, and inspectable. Favor clarity over over-engineering while the site is still evolving rapidly.

Content Ethos

Ship often, refine continuously, and keep personality front-and-center as placeholders get replaced with real writing and projects.

Top > Other > FAQ
Q: What belongs in "Other"?
Secondary, durable content that does not fit neatly in About, Projects, or Blog. The site's junk drawer, except everything in it is intentional.
Q: Is this page meant to grow?
Yes. It is the home for long-running site utilities, lore, and community-facing extras. New sections will appear as they are written.
Q: Why not keep this in a dropdown only?
A dedicated page gives these sections permanence and a clear destination for navigation. Dropdowns are for shortcuts; this is a home.
Q: Why does every page look different?
Each page is its own world. The About Me is an IE5 browser, the Blog is a phpBB forum, Projects is a Flash embed, this page is a Yahoo JP directory. They do not need to match - they each need their own strong identity.
Q: Why no frameworks?
View source and you will see exactly what is running. No build step, no transpilation, no node_modules. Just files.
Q: Can I use your 88x31 badges?
The badges in the sidebar belong to their respective creators (or the collective unconscious of the old web). Take them freely.
